THE UNCHANGEABLE GOD
THE UNCHANGEABLE GOD
“I am the lord, and I do not change.
That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed.- Malachi 3:6
Dear brethren,
I want to share with you the profound
truth that while everything created can change, the Creator Himself remains unchangeable.
Our natural surroundings, our relationships with spouses, friends, and
relatives, all have the potential to change, but God and His word remain immutable
and constant.
Life on this earth is uncertain and
unpredictable. We ourselves can change from who we are today to someone
different tomorrow. The world may rely on us today, but tomorrow we may
disappoint them. We may make grand promises to others, only to fail in
fulfilling them. This is because our existence is corruptible and subject to
change. Unfortunately, some people suffer because they depend solely on their
fellow human beings.
In a world where everything seems to
be in a constant state of flux, finding someone that remains reliable, and
dependable can bring comfort and hope. As human beings, we yearn for stability
and dependability, especially during times of uncertainty and turmoil. While
everything around us may be changing, God remains immutable and unwavering in
His character and promises. God is an eternal being who never changes.
Consequently, His word, mercies, and love endure forever.
In the book of Numbers 23:19, Balaam made
Balak understand the nature of God. The scripture reveals three key aspects of
God's unchanging nature:
1. God is always truthful - He does
not lie.
2. God fulfills whatever He says - He
never changes His mind like humans do. Therefore, whatever He says, He will do.
3. His word remains unchangeable -
Matthew 24:35 states, "Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will
never disappear.
Another aspect of God's unchanging
nature is His love. The Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8). His love
for us is not based on our performance or circumstances; it is constant and
unwavering. In a world where love can be fickle and conditional, knowing that
we are deeply and unconditionally loved by a God who never changes brings a
sense of security and hope.
Additionally, God's unchanging nature
includes His faithfulness. The Bible assures us that God is faithful (1 Corinthians
1:9). His faithfulness is not dependent on our faithfulness or obedience; it is
inherent in His character. Even when we stray from the right path or face
seemingly insurmountable challenges, God remains faithful to His promises and
His plans for our lives. This unwavering faithfulness provides us with the
assurance that we can trust in Him, even when everything else around us seems
uncertain.
Furthermore, God's unchanging nature
is reflected in His wisdom and sovereignty. He is all-knowing and all-powerful,
and His wisdom surpasses our limited understanding (Isaiah 55:8-9). In a world
where knowledge and wisdom can be transient and ever-evolving, finding solace
in the unchanging wisdom and sovereignty of God brings a sense of peace and
assurance. We can trust that His plans are perfect and that He is working all
things together for our good (Romans 8:28).
In conclusion, let’s look up to God
who changes not. If our dependence is on him, we will never be disappointed and
abandoned. During times of darkness or despair, when our hope seems to hang
back, let us hold on to the unchangeable God. Let us trust in His promises, His
faithfulness, and His love. Through trust, we can cultivate unwavering hope and
find solace in the knowledge that our future is secure in His hands.

Thank you for touching my soul with this inspired message. May the Lord keep on using you for his good services.
